This 4 week course is for complete beginners who have never played, or need a refresher. We will learn all the rules of chess including setup, piece movement, checkmates, draws, and basic strategies so that the graduate can sit down and play a game with anyone! We will not play a full game of chess until the last session. Instead, we will play through activities that build foundational understanding.
